Making You Whole Again

Rebekah E. Morrison

Bio

Rebekah Morrison is a proud double Tarheel, having attended the University of North Carolina for her Bachelor of Arts degree and receiving her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Rebekah is admitted to practice law in North Carolina and prior to joining our Firm in October 2023, has practiced family law and criminal defense throughout the North Carolina Piedmont since her licensure in 2017. Rebekah enjoys being in the courtroom and will not shy away from trying contentious issues on behalf of her clients, however she recognizes settlement enables her clients to move forward with their lives and is typically the better outcome for the people she represents.

Rebekah has handled a myriad of family law issues, including high-conflict custody cases and financial settlements. She regularly helps her clients navigate both the courtroom and mediation.

During her time in law school at UNC Chapel Hill, Rebekah was recognized for her commitment to pro bono service, she served as a staff member for the Journal of Law and Technology, and she received the Gressman Pollitt Award for the Best Overall Oral Advocacy.

Rebekah aims to make her clients feel well-informed and prepared for each step of their family law case and she strives to provide clarity amidst even the most difficult of issues.

When not practicing law, Rebekah enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her rescue animals, a cat and dog. She often fosters kittens from the animal shelter in her home county and listens to true crime podcasts.

John F. Kennedy said: “A rising tide lifts all boats.” Rebekah believes that: “Some see the dissolution of a marriage or the issue of child custody as a zero-sum game, however that outlook makes for an acrimonious experience and cements the idea that there must be a winner and a loser. I believe fairness is something everyone is entitled to and pursuing a fair outcome helps ensure a better financial, emotional, and custodial future for all involved. I prefer to tell clients that the best family law process is a fair one, not the one where someone wins.“
